Elon Musk defends his role at DOGE as death reports tied to USAID cuts increase

Elon Musk spent Monday night on social media defending his role in orchestrating massive U.S. foreign aid cuts that research at UCLA suggests could cause over 14 million preventable deaths by 2030.

After Rep. Ro Khanna (D-CA) accused him of causing these deaths through USAID defunding, Musk responded by calling the Congressman a liar, demanding his imprisonment, and threatening legal action.

On X, Musk denied any deaths resulted from the cuts, writing, "There is not even a single dead child!"

“If there were, it would be worldwide headline news!” He added.

Critics and humanitarian experts continue denouncing Musk, as several deaths have been reportedly tied to recent USAID cuts.

Physician and podcast host Nick Mark accused the trillionaire of killing millions by halting food and medical shipments on X.

Humanitarian policy expert, Jeremy Konyndyk, criticized Musk, vulgarly claiming he is backpedaling and accusing the Department of Government Efficiency of eliminating over 80% of USAID programs without assessing potential harms.
