White House begs MAGA media to push GOP on stalled Trump bill and score him a 'win'

President Donald Trump and his allies are urging Republicans in the U.S. House of Representatives to pass a housing bill. But the bill has been stalled. And now, according to Politico's Megan Messerly, the Trump White House is reaching out to right-wing MAGA media for help.

"In a barrage of social media posts and interviews with right-wing media," Messerly reports, "administration officials and prominent conservatives are urging the GOP to give the president and the party an affordability win that they can campaign on as they stare down a challenging midterm election."

One of those right-wing media outlets is "War Room," hosted by longtime Trump ally and MAGA firebrand Steve Bannon.

Messerly notes, "MAGA podcaster Jack Posobiec urged Congress to 'end investment firms gobbling up family houses!' in a post on X. Oren Cass, chief economist of the conservative populist American Compass think tank, is comparing House Republicans to the Japanese soldier who refused to surrender for nearly three decades after World War II ended. And Federal Housing Finance Agency Director Bill Pulte said the House needs to 'stop playing games' in a Wednesday interview on former White House Chief Strategist Steve Bannon’s 'War Room.'"

On "War Room," Pulte stressed the urgency of House Republicans getting a housing bill passed as soon as possible.

Pulte argued, "The House does need to step up and just get this done. Look, everything incremental right now is going to help the housing problem. We need to throw everything at it. This thing's very important. They got to pass it, and they got to pass it quick."
