DCSPay, a stablecoin payments platform backed by DCS Group and operated through DCS Fintech (Hong Kong) Limited, announced the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Nexus Co., Ltd. (KOSDAQ: 205500), developer of the CROSS blockchain ecosystem, to integrate CROSS ecosystem assets into DCSPay’s payment infrastructure, enabling broader payment acceptance and stablecoin settlement across the growing CROSS ecosystem.

The MOU comes as Nexus accelerates the expansion of its Web3 ecosystem following its move to acquire an approximately 89% controlling stake in ONE Store, South Korea’s homegrown app marketplace originally established by the country’s three major mobile carriers and Naver. With more than 38 million users, ONE Store is expected to play a central role in Nexus’ strategy to build a next-generation ecosystem spanning gaming, digital content and blockchain-powered services.

As Nexus scales the CROSS ecosystem, DCSPay will explore enabling CROSS and CROSSD payments while supporting stablecoin settlement, including USDT and USDC, to help merchants and consumers transact more seamlessly with digital assets.

“Nexus is building one of the most exciting digital ecosystems in Asia, and we’re proud they’ve chosen DCSPay as their payment infrastructure partner. Gaming is emerging as one of the strongest real-world use cases for digital assets, and we’re excited to help leading platforms like Nexus bring secure, compliant payment experiences to millions of users,” said Sean Dong, Senior Director of Business Operations, DCSPay.

Under the MOU, the companies will explore integrating DCSPay’s payment capabilities across the broader CROSS ecosystem while evaluating future opportunities to expand digital asset payment experiences through DCS Group’s wider payments ecosystem, including potential card programmes and other payment innovations.

“Our vision is to make blockchain technology useful beyond the digital world,” said Henry Chang, CEO of Nexus. “Partnering with DCSPay enables us to explore new payment experiences that connect the CROSS ecosystem with merchants and consumers through trusted payment infrastructure.”

Backed by DCS Group’s more than 50 years of payments heritage, DCSPay combines trusted payment infrastructure with stablecoin payment capabilities to help businesses adopt digital assets with confidence. Together with Nexus, the companies aim to accelerate practical payment use cases for blockchain assets while maintaining the security, compliance and reliability expected by merchants and consumers.
