  • Stock+ expands beyond tokenized stocks and private market access.

  • Bitget starts with single-leg options before adding advanced strategies.

  • The launch follows record U.S. options activity in 2025.

Bitget expanded its Stock+ platform with U.S. stock options trading for eligible users on Thursday. The launch moves the crypto exchange deeper into traditional market products. It also adds listed derivatives to a platform already offering tokenized stocks and private market access.

Bitget Adds Long Calls And Long Puts

The first release gives eligible users access to long call and long put options. Call options allow users to take upside exposure to U.S.-listed stocks. Put options allow users to position for downside moves or manage existing market risk.

Bitget limited the initial rollout to single-leg options buying. That structure remains simpler than spreads, collars, straddles, and other multi-leg strategies. The exchange plans to add more advanced options features in future updates.

The product keeps buyer risk limited to the premium paid for each contract. Still, options can expire without value when expected price moves fail to happen. Expiry dates, strike prices and market direction remain important for users.

Stock+ Moves Beyond Tokenized Stocks

Bitget placed the new options product inside Stock+, its broader traditional finance product suite. Stock+ already includes tokenized stocks and pre-IPO exposure to private market opportunities. The options launch now gives the platform a wider market access model.

The Seychelles-based exchange has positioned Stock+ as a bridge between crypto trading and traditional assets. That strategy combines stocks, crypto, commodities, forex, indices, and precious metals in one environment. It also reflects a wider push among crypto platforms to become multi-asset venues.

Bitget said the product targets eligible users familiar with established stock market instruments. The exchange started with simpler options structures to support a clearer entry point. It also linked the launch to rising demand for listed derivatives.

Options Demand Gives Exchanges A New Growth Route

The launch follows a record year for U.S. options activity. The U.S. options market processed more than 15.2 billion contracts in 2025. That total equaled about 60 million contracts per trading day.

Options have gained wider use across retail and institutional trading. Traders use them for directional exposure, hedging, volatility strategies, income generation, and capital management. As a result, exchanges now see options as a higher-engagement product line.

Bitget also faces competition from other crypto platforms expanding beyond digital assets. Coinbase announced plans in June to expand options capabilities for stocks and crypto. Bitget is moving Stock+ further into listed derivatives through this latest rollout.
